Goals for the Current PEN grant
Craig J. Hawker is involved in Projects 1, 4 and the Nanomaterials Production Core.
Facilities
The Hawker group occupies several labs across the UCSB campus: Physical Sciences Building North, the California Nanosystems Institute (CNSI), and the Materials Research Laboratory (MRL). Among these facilities, the group occupies more than ten large fume hoods equipped with the necessary equipment to perform polymer synthesis on a variety of scales (0.1–1000g). The group also has full access to all of the molecular, morphological, and thermal characterization equipment present in the MRL, CNSI, and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
